  • Newbie with a closing question

This is my first closing, so bear with me. I recevied the package a few days ago and all the documents look OK, except that the deed doesn't have the sellers name on it. The name is that of a third party and is to be signed by her attorney. Is this common? Any comments would be much appreciated.

If the seller is a post card company, it is very common. That is what they usually do. So they could tell the old owner they will take care the TS from the original owner but in fact they never did. And on the other hand, they think they will by pass the state real estate agent rule.

It is O.K. You probably get a 2 page stuff, the 1st page is the seller name and your name that suppose to be signed and notorized by the seller, you will sign and notorize the 2nd page. Make sure the actually deed returned has the right name.
