They are suppose to open their Asia office June this Year.

And right now, they have 2 to 1 deal, if you deposit Hawaii week 6 month, you can get 2 exchange credit.

Where in Asia will their new office be? DAE seems to get a lot of Bali and Thailand, and increasingly, India.

see this Dial An Exchange Announces Global Expansion - DAELIVE.com from their website. It will be a good question to ask them. They also has some rental partnership in China, so it will be very interesting where they will set up the office, but more importantly, what kind of person will be in charge of that office.

DAE's model could open up some interesting areas for exchange. They have already done so in the Black Sea beaches of Bulgaria, for example, where there are no timeshares, but there are managed vacation apartments, many recently built to a high standard.

One area that I think would be good for them to pursue is some of the major cities of eastern Europe, but where there are lots of renovated individually owned but often centrally managed rental apartments, places like St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kiev, Talinn, Riga, Krakow, etc. I rented one such apartment a couple of years ago in St. Petersburg, and it was nicely renovated - even with heated floors in the bathrooms - and well located, in an elegant Czarist period buidling a block off of Nevsky Prospect. Many people in these areas like to vacation in places that DAE has lots of inventory, like the Canaries, Spain, Malta, and Portugal. It would seem to benefit all to encourage them to deposit a few weeks from their rental apartments to the DAE exchange pool so they could travel to such areas while DAE members could exchange into some new territory.
