  • Where would you go?

I have the month of Feb. off every year. I am looking for a warm location (non-Hawaii) for a T.S. purchase. Where would you choose? Bob

Where do you live and how far do you want to travel? What kinds of things do you like to do? Do you want it to be in the US?

I live in New York and have been spending 4-6 weeks in southeast Florida from late January to early March every year for many years. I own Weeks 7 and 8 at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort (bought resale, of course) and exchange into other ts during the 2 weeks before or after. The airfare and car rental rates are reasonable, the cost of meals and clothing are lower, and many of our relatives and friends have retired to the area (or spend 6 months there) so we have lots of fun visiting them.

If I were you, I would probably pick Florida. I lived in SE Florida for 8 years and February - April is the best time of the year there.

My boss loves Palm Springs/Desert area and visits every March. The Marriott there is very popular.

I love Florida gulf cities and also Ft Lauderdale area myself but this would give you a different experience. I love the Carolinas but they would not be as warm in February.

I would spend the month in Mexico. A week in Cabo, a week in Puerto Vallarta, a week in Nuevo and a week in the Riviera Maya....or just 4 weeks in one of those places.

If you like the Mexican border towns, I would recommend South Padre Island. Cost of living very reasonable.

That isn't going to be too relaxing with all of that traveling. I have been to all of those places and it would be fine for a one shot deal but I wouldn't want to do it every year..

Lots of Florida, one Hawaii, one Aruba. Why own one week when you can join a network of over 40 resorts and go somewhere different each year without having to go thru an exchange company?
