  • gday from melbourne australia

hi to all timeshare owners i am new to forums and thought this would be a good one to join.......we own 2 weeks here in Australia and have been very happy owners for 20 years.......we have stayed at most resorts on the east coast over that time.......our kids are now big enough to look after themselves so we may have more time to explore other areas other than the pool/playground/tennis court etc etc:
hope to share some holiday experiences................

    gday

    There are other Aussies here.

One I met in January, 2004, when he and his cousin were in the same hot tub as me and my BIL in the East Village at Orange Lake. We had a great conversation, but they were very unhappy campers, upset at OL for a number of things.

When I posted their comments on TUG (also known here as OY--Over Yonder), a royal donneybrook ensued. A couple of posters had to go sit in the corner for awhile.

Now that I think about it, in the words of Peter, Paul and Mary, one was forever banned . . . again . . . sorta.

Then, not long ago, the cousin that owned the timeshares showed up OY, and then here, because he had saved the website information I gave him.

Seems like they are turning the other cheek, letting bygones be bygones, burying the hatchet, moving on, leaving the past in the past, and heading back to OL again next January.

Welcome Shirl, yes, it is nice to have another Aussie on board.
We own 2 traditional timeshares in Australia, Worldmark and 2 in South Africa.
We're still at the stage in life with our kids where the pool, tennis courts and playground are our main activities. Maybe another 20yrs or so...

          Welcome Shirl

          Hooray, another Aussie.

I'm one of the "newer" members here and have found a wealth of information on all things timeshare. I owned timeshare about 20 years ago and am now negotiating to buy again.

            Shirl,

I am not an Aussie, but I would also like to welcome you to TS4M's. Can't wait to hear about your travels.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Thanks everyone..We have just returned from a week on the new south wales south coast staying at the moorings resort. This was our third visit but our first without kids and we got to explore the beautiful coastline.
We own at nepean country club (Victoria) and lake edge resort (new south wales) but most weeks are banked with dae and used for exchange. If anybody is thinking of visiting oz we can let you know what the local resorts are like etc...We are hoping to use overseas resorts in the next few years as our boys can look after themselves now and that was the reason in buying the second week at nepean 3 years ago........thanks again

When you say visiting resorts overseas, do you mean to the USA or Europe or both? Are you in the middle of winter now and do you have snow? We hope to learn a lot about Australia from you.

Shirl, we stayed at Nepean last Dec and have another week booked there for next March. Great location and so much to do in the surrounding area. Our kids enjoyed the fort, mazes and strawberry picking.

We've also stayed at the Moorings a couple of times and visited Mogo Zoo near there.

We were Sydneysiders but have relocated to Melbourne and love it here. Although we love Sydney as well. It took us a while to get used to all the Melbournians though.
