Have you seen all the timeshares for sale on ebay lately? Sure hope that I don't have to sell one of mine soon or will have to list it at one dollar with no reserve to keep up with the others for sale.

If I was a buyer I would be buying But till I use my 10 with ACs and Bonus weeks, my wife won't let me add to the collection

I have been looking at these. Unfortunately, I don't know which sellers are the PCC. I would prefer not to by from them.

For some unknow reason, they have a lot of inventories. This year at July they have almost like 3 time inventory as last year at the same period.

For PCC, I believe one is affliated with VIN and often use Timeshare Closing.

I can think of 2 reasons for the increase: (1) PCC hitting the market with the timeshares they conned people into paying them to take off their hands. (2) Inflation in necessary cost have left many with less disposable income and a good way to cut expenses would be to unload the timeshare.
The increase in supply of resales does not seem to correlate with a notable increase in resale buyers. Result should be falling prices until such time that the supply for sale decreases substantially. So it would appear that it may be moving into a time where resales may actually bottom out- the question is will they ever start rising again and if so how long will it take ?

There are definitely a lot of cheap resales out there right now. I think one of the reasons is the dramatic slow down in the real estate market. When people are having trouble paying their mortgages, they need to cut their expenses. Timeshares are a luxury, and I think many people are just trying to get out from under the maintenance fees.

A postcard company is one that sends the owner a postcard to invite them in to show them how to get rid of their timeshare. They tell them what a horrible investment they made, etc. Then they tell them that, for a fee that ranges up to a few thousand dollars, they will take their timeshare off their hands so they will never be saddled with the maintenance fees again. They the companies turn around and sell the timeshares cheap on ebay or elsewhere. They can afford to sell them so cheap because they have already received a handsome price to take them. Also, they are often affiliated with a closing company that the buyer is mandated to use. The closings costs are high and that generates more money for the PCC's.

Are there any on ebay that you would recommend to buy if anyone with sound knowledge has the time to look?

I purchased my timeshare on ebay from cybernaut303 they also have an ebay store called TimeshareWeb-303. They were very honest and used a Timeshare Closing Service in Florida. There were several delays with the closing company and I was really unhappy. My salesperson really kept on top of things for me and they took care of bookings and getting points assigned to my account during the delay.

I 100% would be comfortable buying from them again, but I really hope that they reconsider which closing company they use.

Maybe they are listed so cheap because that is what they are really worth !
T/S are a very very poor investment. You end up having to pay the whole time you own it. There are many other ways to vacation without joining a timeshare club.

Another happy buyer? Did you buy resale or retail (developer)?

Buy retail or resale -- the ongoing costs are the same

So unlike the theory put forth in this thread, buying at full retail has NOT improved your timeshare experience or insulated you from costs. It seems Reese's idea of only buying retail isn't the answer.
