Do you have any thoughts on my query, about the actual seller vs. the eBay seller having to pay the fees? I do want to buy and would like to make sure I understand the situation properly. Or does it vary from case to case?

    Thanks.
I'm wondering whether Doug Ochoa changed his last name and has infiltrated this forum?

These guys are related or closely linked with the people that you pay to take your timeshare away or those resorts that take your timeshare in trade, or both. They may or may not have title to the property, in many cases they just have a power of attorney and have never taken title, in any case - they decide what price they will accept, there is no original owner remaining to decide. As indicated in the original post from before the meltdown, Doug O. is a little brash, like some other people.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

I'd keep looking for what I wanted with a different seller under the terms I want for purchase. There are to many timeshares for sale right now and it's a buyers market.

As far as the actual seller vs the e-bay seller, I have no thoughts. Most of the timeshares on E-bay seem to be offered by PCC's. They've already been paid a handsom sum to take them off the original owners hands and are now trying to dump them on E-bay at minimal cost.

What I've been told is that the title of these timeshares are transfered to a seperate company. Once that seperate company gets to many timeshares that it can't move, it files for bankruptcy, allowing all those transfered timeshares to go back to their respective HOA's.

Needless to say this causes considerable strain on the HOA's if there are to many defaulted units. For the owners remaining, it causes increases in MF's to cover the defaults. For the HOA, they now have timeshare weeks that they must figure out how to sell. PCC's are really an issue for everyone who owns and enjoys timeshares but, they create those great deals everyone see's on E-bay. Sort of a double edged sword.
