    Italy and FF tix

    Well, if there's anything left of Italy when BF is through, I'm going next summer.

    Just snagged 7 frequent flier tickets through USAir/Star Alliance for Jun/Jul08 IAD-VCE, FCO-IAD, that took much of the day yesterday, several hours on the phone and several phone calls, with internet research in between.

    Now to start work on some timeshare acommodations.

    I know you'll have a great time. What areas of Italy are you looking for t/s accomodations near?

    Getting those FF tickets was a real plum. When we went I was only able to buy coach and used miles for an up-grade (PHL-FCO). For me coach isn't too bad since I'm small, but DH is thin, but tall with all these long legs and coach would kill him.

        Venice to Florence to Rome for two weeks and anywhere in between. Should be able to get RHC in Rome, may be hotels for the rest of the time or a villa rental in Tuscany as my party in Italy is going to be 8 or 9 and I'm not RCI and two units anywhere would be hard to get.

        I thought about buying tickets and using miles for upgrades but with so many I can't afford all that. Tickets right now are $1120 and up depending on airline.
