We will be going to The Resort on Cocoa Beach Labor Day week. Other than the obvious Space Center & Ron Jon Surf, does anyone have suggestions for sites and good reasonable priced restaurants? Also, do they still sell units and harass you to participate in a presentation?

We just got back from the Resort On Cocoa Beach.
We like Grills restuarant which is next to the port and Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty (which is about 5 minutes south of the resort on AIA). We usually just enjoy the beach and pool. We did go to Orlando one day to shop the outlets. Not a bad drive, about 50 minutes straight across.

If the Astronaut Hall of Fame is still there, that's worth a visit. I was in Cocoa Beach earlier this year and some of our group went on some kind of fast boat ride that they all said was fun.
We had a good lunch at Murdock's Bistro in Cocoa Village and a good dinner one night at the Altantic Ocean Grill on the Cocoa Beach pier. We didn't make it to Grill's since we were a very large group and they couldn't accomodate us all together.Luanne

I like these two (Cuban and tapas fare) :
World Beat Cafe in Melbourne Different, not the same old stuff.
Try the Key Lime Guava dessert.
and Roberto's Little Havana in Cocoa. Service there has been reported uneven at times, but when I've gone there with my friend (born in Cuba, fled Castro), we've gotten top shelf service. Roberto's Little Havana, 26 N Orlando Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL on Yahoo! Local
Oh, Meg O'Malley's in Melbourne is decent, too. Good pub.
If you like to poke around shops, try Old Melbourne. Nice shops.
