On eBay, there's a listing for a "book" called "Kill The Timeshare Sharks" which is listed at $1.99 for 95 copies at free shippling by "MMCCORY2K4". It claims to have inside information about RCI and II. Sounds like this person has put out other items along the timeshare topics. Has anyone obtained of of these items of t/s information? Did you feel it was worth it? Some of the reviews made it sound like a rip off, but most of them gave a positive rating. Please respond. Thank you!

eBay timeshare book(e-book?)

Early this year, I purchased a booklet (eBay) from "cmccrory2k4" (Steve McCrory) called "How to Beat the Timeshare Players". I remember being surprised because the name of my book didn't match the advertised booklets name.
It deals specifically with the RCI system. I wasn't expecting this.
There is a section called "Selling the $99 LAST CALL weeks or Liquidating Points for Cash!" It talks about reserving the week for 24hrs then selling it privately or listing it on a low cost 1 Day Auction site (like eBay). I can't find the part about the ramifications of doing something like that - I must have lost that page.
Buying this booklet was my first attempt at revisiting the subject of Timeshares in nearly 20 years. The booklet includes "Some useful links:" (TUG2.net., theTimeshareBeat.com etc) and that is how I found out about forums on timeshare. I suspect other newbies would have the initial impression that it was an informative booklet and leave positive feedback (just like me).
As you have already found this website, IMHO you would be better served by asking questions and doing your research on these forums. Save your $2.
