  • Pictures of Lagonita Lodge posted

Friends of ours recently returned from their vacation at Lagonita Lodge at Big Bear Lake, CA. They traveled there using an AC we gave them that we were not going to be able to use. I asked if they wouldn't mind taking pictures of their 1 bedroom unit and the grounds for my webshots page to share with other timeshare travelers. I have posted those pictures on my Webshots page at this link if anyone is interested in viewing them. Just click on the picure and it should take you to the album.

Doug Thank you and thanks to your friends for the very nice pictures

Lagonita is one place that I've got a search in for next summer.

Keep in mind that their beds apparently aren't the size advertised. Their confirmation read king size bed. If you look at the pictures they were lucky if that was a full size bed.

A rather odd configuration to the room as well. The front door enters through the bedroom. Granted it allows for the Lake View from the living room sofa but it's still rather odd IMO. Also, there was NO closets in the unit. Only the stand alone closet/cabinet in the bedroom. The door an that wall is a very shallow hiddy hole for the ironing board. They also found the TV above the dining room table somewhat inconvenient.

On the plus side they had wonderful staff there, plenty of activities and the lodge has it's own dock or owners/exchangers. If you fish be sure to be compliant with the local laws. They were told it's a heavy fine and the game warden sits across the lake with high powered binoculars looking for proper display of a fishing license (to be worn/displayed prominately on your person).

Wow! How thorough! Lagonita Lodge was the very first timeshare presentation I ever attended. It was easily 20 years ago. I don't think we ever collected on our gift. That said, I love Big Bear. We live about 1 hour away, just below the mountain. I knew they were lake front-but I was unaware they have a dock-does that mean I could bring my boat? That would be great. We have boated once on Big Bear Lake, some years ago-but this location is so doable for us-we could even commute if we needed to. Thanks so much for posting those pics.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

If Webshots didn't have that already set up for me I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to do it myself.

              Lawren,

Is your search in RCI? There are some August weeks available in II right now.

I got my request last night. A one bedroom, first floor, lakeview unit from Trading Places.
