Happy to hear your original dissatisfaction has been resolved. We just returned from the GM NV Saturday. It's a great resort, but a bit pricey. They now have security watching to ensure you have the correct wristband, but also stop you from carrying any coolers or food into the pool area. We are going to the GM Mayan Riviera in January, and hope they haven't adapted the same policy.

Do they allow you to take the pool towels back to your room or do they still make you turn them in before you return to your room?? They would not let my wife leave it on as a wrap over her swimsuit when going up to get some lunch when we went at spring break. I filled out the paper work to complain that it was wrong. It is also wrong to have the security to keep the ice chests out of the pool area. The pool food and drinks are quite expensive. But it was a very nice resort.
