From the news release, the top ones are Marriott 7, Disney 4, Starwood 3, & Royals 2. If you go to TUG and look at the member rankings, you will find Marriott 6, Disney 4, & Royals 4. I am not familiar with Starwoods, so they may be in TUG's list & I don't recognize them. Redweek's #1 Manhattan Club isn't even on the TUG list. Interesting too that none of the Grand Mayans are on either list. Although I have several HGVC, perhaps I should take the next offer to preview the Marriott program. It's nice to have this type of information available.

At least I own one of them - # 15. With all the bad press it gets, something still must be right with it.

It's interesting that there are no major ski resorts on the list.

I agree.....I'm very surprised. They are certainly some of the hardest to come by in II. Seems they are in top demand.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I just realized that the Four Seasons did make the list either. Hmmmmm......

PS...Either did the Fairmont Heritage Franz Klammer Lodge, or Ocho Cascadas. I'm sure there are other top resorts that also didn't make the list. Those are a few that just came to mind.

Yeah, but Park City, Whistler, Vail, Tahoe, Breckenridge, etc., didn't make the list.

Even though they said three, there are actually four Starwoods on the list: Harborside, Westin Ka'anapali, Westin St. John, and Vistana Resort. I think the Redweek list is not exactly what we think of when we think of the "top 25 resorts"-- it's really just a record of what resorts people are seaching for rentals at. For instance, I own Vistana Resort and I wouldn't put it in my top 25. But it is a very large, well known resort with year round appeal, so it gets alot of rental action. I'm sure many of the ski resorts, including Smuggs, are nicer, but they may not get as many "hits" on the redweek site because they are smaller or seasonally popular.

Interesting! Of course, it's just one website's opinion...

We own at Smugglers Notch and visit in both the summer and winter. It is a ski resort but is more crowded in the summer due to their children's program.
