I always pack a copy of the dog's most current vaccination certificate just in case they need it at check in. So far I've never been asked to show it.
I had called Silverleaf last night and confirmed the above info, so I completed those.
Thanks for the Rancho Ruidoso...I just updated the database to reflect the info.
I hope to finish this by next week, so keep the info coming!!

There are currently 46 resorts that accept pets and I have confirmed most of the policies with the resort themselves. I have attempted to put in a shortened version of the pet policy within the resort decription, but in most cases it was requested that you call prior to your reservation because many of the resorts only have certain units reserved for pets. I have not finished Canada nor Mexico, but will when I return from my visit to Punta Cana, which will be next Saturday.

There are a few in OC MD that will let you bring a pet. Ocean time/Sea time for one lets there owners bring pets but not exchangers. If you are exchanging there you can bring your pet if you pay a fee.

          Frank,
I did try calling them and always reached a machine. I have them on my list to try to call again.

Both Four Seasons Scottsdale ( Troon North ) and Aviara are 55#'s -- and just for owners ...however there is some leeway on weight for friendly pets

I appreciate all your work on this list! As Ms. Maizy (pug) does love to travel with us. Something we never considered when purchasing years ago is that she wouldnt be allowed!

I'd like to thank everyone posting, as well. The one thing that I really don't like about any of the TS I have been to is that they don't allow dogs. I would travel more if I could bring my dogs more.

I thought it was the case that Silverleaf had changed their policy, and here is the last sentence on their RCI listings for my area:

                      Holiday Hills:

                      No Pets Allowed

                      Ozark Mountain Resort:

PETS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY

                      Timber Creek Resort:

As of July 1,2009 NO PETS ARE ALLOWED

You are correct that dogs are no longer allowed.....for exchangers only. Owners are still allowed to bring their pets to Silverleaf resorts. I guess that is a benefit for owners.

Interesting. I guess that will cut down on the number of dogs. I suppose next they'll require "owner dogs" to wear special bracelets/collars

I called Silverleaf Villages last year (after the new pet policy was in place) and asked about bringing my dog. Told them I was going to book via RCI. They said it was fine to bring him. I don't think Silverleaf really cares since they allow dogs on the properties anyway. Like you said, they can't tell the owner dogs from the RCI dogs once you're there. We ended up not going to I'm not sure what they would have said at check-in but I did get the name of the person who approved it over the phone in case I needed it.
