    Recission Nightmare

    Got back last week from a great stay in Puerto Vallarta @ Paradise Village.
    Got home and realiized we paid way to much. Rescinded offer and now getting charged 3 grand for the " free nights" they gave us after signing!!!

    Somebody please help Frosty.

    Frosty,

    There are plenty of experts here that can suggest help for you.
    Start by doing a seach on PROFECO the Mexican Consumer agency.

    Did you follow the recission process exactly as stated. I am not a Mexican TS expert, but many others here can help. Sorry to hear about your bad experience in Mexico.

    Mex experts please chime in.

      How did you get the free nights and is company who set this up in the US then maybe someone can help you????

        We thought weh had a good deal /all was well.. They then asked us when are we leaving, so we told them in 5 days.. Gave us 5 nights all inclusive which was wonderful.. Resort is great.. I met all my obligations on the contract yet they now are trying to only refund deposit plus dowm payment minus room charges!!! Company has office in California

          Puerto Vallarta @ Paradise Village is not an inexpensive resort by anyone's standards. One of our members owns there and maybe she will chime in.

          Obviously by reneging you do owe them for the 5 nights and 6 days of AI stay. Not I would think $600 per but something.

          Have you researched the rack rates for high season that they charge?

            I had already paid for rooms elsewhere. My contract says without penalty.
            They didn't tell me any such thing. They said go ahead and stay here See how you like it etc..I didn't renage on anything. I found out you can by them for 25% of the rate they charged. And rescinded my offer. Rates were 660.00per night I had no idea

              The good news is you rescinded and we can help you find something that will work for you at a much cheaper cost.

              The bad news is you did accept the "free" nights after signing a contract with them. When you rescind we advise to give EVERYTHING back to the resort that was given you. Obviously you cannot return the five nights AI that you stayed there. I don't think anyone would consider a charge for your stay a penalty for rescinding. Perhaps you can negotiate the cost below the $600/night but you do owe them SOMETHING.

                Paradise Village Issue

                Your reply seems to make a lot of sense I think I will try to negotiate a better $. It is a great place, I found I could buy the same package and save about 10 thou. I don't want to get banned from there that's for sure
