  • Hilton Head

    Hi,
Need your help with a project. My mission is to find the very nicest TS (or not) condo's on Hilton Head. Posh even. For a possible large family gathering. Then I will have to determine the best way to be able to rent 5 or 6 two to three bedroom units. Anyone?? Everyone??
I will check reviews here and on TUG, but for my own use I am more flexible and willing to wait for trades... but alas, I will not be on my own...
    Thanks!

I would look into Marriott's Grand Ocean, Surf Watch, and Barony Beach. They are some of the nicest timeshares that I've seen on the Island. Not too sure about hotels, or condos.

    Good luck!!!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Look at the Ocean Palms resort at Port Royal and Port o Call. I liked these two the best OP is IMO one of the nicest ones there,

        Marriott's Barony and Surf Watch

The SurfW is the only Marriott on HHI to have 3 BRs. So, I would definitely agree to include that one. I would likewise include Barony in your search. In fact, I would include both and get what you can at each resort. Then, have family (& friends) at both you can cross over and go with the flow at either resort. It might be a little in convenient but I would think between the two resorts you should be able to get the desired number of rooms. And they are at best 2 miles drive or a short bike-ride away!!

I've always wanted to do such a thing so I can't wait to see how it turns out for you!!

Waterside might work as well. Their 3-bedrooms are HUGE, and the pools are great. A short walk to the beach.

            Thanks everyone.
I will start checking your recommendations.
We have stayed at Waterside, and while we were happy there, my family would not be.
I will keep checking back for new info, and to let you know how we make out.

May I also suggest The Owner's Club at Hilton Head. Please go this resort web page and read about this resort.

The Marriott Monarch is right on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay about 4 years ago.
                Is it vacation time yet?

There are a number of very nice houses that can be rented on HHI, but the cost will be high. I generally preferred the Sea Pines Plantation portion of the island when I was there. If I were you, that's where I'd focus my search.

If you are renting a house, I would agree. Sea Pines, with it's gated, private community, is the place to be if you can get there. I wouldn't rent a house anywhere else on the island unless it was beach front property.

There are 2 other Marriott's in Sea Pines, as well, that are right in Harbour Town. You could probably get them easier than the ones on the beach, if you wanted to split the family between 2 resorts. My idea from an earlier post. They are only a short walk apart.

Surfwatch is our first choice. We also like Island Links three bedrooms.
