  • 4th of July Weeks

As a general rule, are 4th of July weeks strong traders in an area where the II chart shows those as the highest demand weeks? I am trying to help our friends find something as their first purchase and I would assume this is a general rule?

Yes, most definitely. July 4th week is a tiger trader, in areas where the II chart shows those as the highest demand weeks.

Are they looking into a fixed week?

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Yes, they want a fixed week to avoid the process of booking at the home resort, etc.

My July 4 week that I bank with RCI ROCKS. Summer weeks in high demand areas will also be good traders (think school summer vacation week). Weeks between 27 and 32 seem to be the best...week 26 can have July 4 in it some years.

There are some areas where July 4th week is not the best, tho it is still a decent trader. A case in point is New Hampshire- where I have often traded into that week and also noticed a lot of vacancy signs that you will not see the week following. I also remember going to the Jordan Grand (ME on the NH border) that week and finding it to be so lightly occupied that they didn't even open the restaurant.

            July 4

By banking July 4 at a pretty medocre resort, I ALWAYS landed Gold Crown resorts through RCI (banking early + banking July 4 week in the Shenandoa Mtns was a recipe for success!). Good luck!
