  • Free Timeshare- ARI- Austria

Hello- I joined the forum last December and since that time I have sold 3 of my father-in-laws 4 timeshares. Thanks. But, I have one to go. This last timeshare is posted in the Freebie section of this site but I have not received any interest. Any ideas other than ebay? I have called the home office and offered to deed it back to them and they said no go. Below I listed some facts on the timeshare.

    Mortgage paid in full.
Maintenance fee paid monthly- up to date.

Resort- American Resorts International (ARI) Holiday Network-
Alpenland Sporthotel St. Johann im Pongau, Austria, Europe

    Purchased in 1989
Maintenance Fee- $569.04/year, Paid monthly at $47.42/month
    Mortgage satisfied 4/2004.

    One week- Annual
B unit- One bedroom, One bath, sleeps 4.
    Floating Week
    Ownership: Deeded

Transfer fee of $100 to complete title transfer.

No ideas other than eBay. Put it on eBay with a professional looking listing for $1 with no transfer fee, let it ride.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

      Saw it on Craig's List

I saw you listed it on Craig's List.

The only other suggestions I would have is similar to Spence's in that you could help the buyer know a little more about what they are buying. A couple of questions that I thought of are:
      1. What is the floating period? 1-52?
      2. If not 1-52 then what season is the float in? Spring, Winter, Fall, etc.
      3. Is it near any attractions? Like, skiing in the Alps?

Try to tell a little bit more of the story.

      Hope you get it sold!!!

        Potential Buyer Found

I reposted my add on Craigs list yesterday, under the Free Section, and I got 8 responses within a couple hours. After a few emails back and forth I think I have a few potential buyers.

For some reason, not sure why, Craigs list shut down/flagged my add after a few hours of posting. I will continue to work with the responders that I got and hopefully have a sale.

Thanks for the help and advice.

Craigslist also shut down my sale ad. I don't know why.
