Selling: who pays what?

I know I have read that "most" buyers pay the closing costs, but what about already paid maintenance fees? I have paid our 2006 fees on the unit I want to sell, so wouldn't the buyer have to pay those back to me if they want to use the 2006 week. Or, if he doesn't pay them, then I still get to use the week??? Need some help here, please.

The rule of thumb is whoever gets use of the current year's week pays the maintenance fee and taxes. If you already paid for it, then you can reasonably ask for reimbursement.

That said, everything is negotiable.
