  • I lucked out with my Quarterhouse NOLA unit

First off I was lucky to get this week for what it cost me. I got a 2 bedroom lock out week 41 float internal. I had no idea Week 41 is Columbus day weekend untill just now when I paid my MF,
Guess where I will be every year for Columbus day weekend for the rest of my life.

Have fun--NOLA's known for the spirit of its huge Italian-American community, right?

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

My family used to live there, before I was born. My parents loved it there. It's a wonderful city. Frank will have a great time--you should go and visit him!

                Sounds like you did good!

We are wanting to go to New Orleans. How would you rate the timeshares? What about parking? What about steps - wife has had double knee replacement?

There are 2 main ones that are nice and are both on the inside edge of the French quarter, Quarterhouse and Club Le Pension, Both are very nice and a block apart. Parking you do not want nor need a car, It would be a waste to get one since you are already in the heart of the French Quarter.

We would probably drive since we live about 30 minutes south of Nashville, TN, now.

                      Frank,

Do you know how far the Quarter House and CLP are from Canal and Bourbon?

Canel both are 1 block, QH is 3-4 short blocks from B street CLP is a short 4-5 blocks.

Eric There is a parking lot that you can use neer by but you might be better off looking for a spot a few blocks away and just leave it there for the week.

We were at Quarter House in 2003 or 2004 and had rented a car. Unlike many others we like to get out and around the country side and made good use of the rental car driving out to see old plantations, over to the site of the Battle of New Orleans and over to Biloxi.

At that time the French Quarter had an agreement with a parking garage maybe two blocks up from it. I believe we were charged $15/day and just paid the resort. They had a punch card that we would show the garage the indicated we had paid. There was a more convenient garage right across the street but, I don't recall what they charged. Seemed as if it was considerably more expensive or, we might have just been lazy and found it easier to go through the front desk at the FQ.
