We were just at the QH on March 7-14. We stayed in the 2B Mardi Gras Suite which worked very nice for us until I saw some larger 2B units.

We rented a car from Enterprise on Barrone. We walked over to pick up the car just to get some morning exercise. Each evening we parked the car on Canal St. in a metered spot. The meters start at 8am which was fine 'cause it got us on the road at a good time.

One night I had to park on Common St. which is a mini block past Canal St. Too easy!

If you are driving to NOLA and do not want to use your car while you are there consider staying at the Hotel de la Monnaie (RCI#3647). It's just across Esplande Ave. from the French Market. They have FREE parking included with your stay.

Another advantage is Frenchmen St. begins here too. Instead of trekking across the FQ for some great music and food, you are right there! This street is less crowded and more "local" feel than the FQ which is still only a few blocks away.

And remember, FQ blocks are teeny blocks. No NYC blocks here!

Frenchmen Street is pretty awesome! It's basically what Bourbon Street used to be in the 50's and 60's before the frozen drinks kiosks and t-shirt stores took over.

LOTS of great clubs on Frenchmen with amazing music every night.

Also, the French Market is a great place to stroll in the morning for breakfast on the go!
