I have some questions re: the 1-in-4 rule, actually, how to circumvent it or what would stop me from returning ? I've read snippets of the rule here and there, but wondered if I could get a concise report here.
Asking as recently, last year and this year, I exchanged for the first time into 2 resorts (Houses at Summer Bay & The Manhattan Club) which enforce this, so now I am taking notice.
1. If I got a guest certificate from someone who exchanged, could I go ?
2. If I rented from an owner/other, could I go ?
3. Are exceptions ever made ? Is the policy ever overridden ?
4. Is it the resort's policy or the exchange company's ?
Please add any other pearls of wisdom that could add to the basis of knowledge here re: "the rule".
Thank you very much.
