I've seen it done on the table early on in the process when a tour became loud and abusive over something or other. Once when the spouse didn't show up. A sales manager signed off on the gift and cut them loose.
Thanks for the info. I'm not the loud and abusive type, so I guess that won't work for me! Also, I would think that if the spouse didn't show up, they would refuse to give you the gift.
Rare happening, but much like the story of a restaurant patron yelling there's a bug in my soup, ownership wants to get you out as quickly and quietly as possible. As for the spouse, I wasn't privvy to the details, but that doesn't happen much. Timeshare tours are a family sport.
