Here is another "silly" question. I've been reading a lot of other posts and keep seeing statements like "..not able to see what regular members can see". also"...will allow u to see DVC". What will I be "seeing", and where will I be "seeing" it, and what will it look like?

Not a silly question. There is no such thing as a silly question.
Quite a few resorts have a "preference" in exchange companies. In Interval there is Starwood, Marriott, Disney, etc and the owners of those weeks see the exchange opportunities before other exchange owners can.
The same thing happens in RCI.
Others will be along more versed in Interval than I am to tell you what the preference periods are.Lawren

Once in exchange, you can click on the link next to your ownership week and do a search of available weeks.
So when people post that they can 'see' Old Key West using their summer Branson week they are searching II for exchanges.....in my case and many others on this board, we have multiple week ownerships - so sometimes we will say that we can 'see' Four seasons Aviara with our Marriott/Sheraton weeks but not our 'standard' or 'unrated' resorts.
Does this make sense???
If not, let me know and I will try again.

When you look online at the exchange companies (ie RCI and Interval International) websites to see what is available for exchange, you will "see" a list of properties and the dates they are available for exchange.
If you try to do a search for an exchange using a "highly sought after resort/room size in a highly sought after season" you may get a different list of available resorts to someone else who searches using a "low value resort/room size in the off season".

Mostly, we read a lot here, we obtain experience over the years and share that here (and at a few other reputable sites). There are people who are here for the wrong reasons, trying to sell things. The moderators do a good job of keeping that to a minimum, but as long as people stick with the rules of the site, there's not much more that they can do that that.

Because I have been TSing for 7 years and currently have 12+ ownerships.
I have bought and sold 20+ ownerships/weeks during that time as I 'tweak' what I own to meet my needs.
Yes, there are some here who do buy and sell and/or rent as a way to finance their ownerships .... and most of them are the experts you have been getting your answers from.

Loving Jya-Ning's post. So true. After all the years you know what you can see without even looking.Lawren

The big question is when we tell our friend Sir that not only can we predict what we can see but that we actually know WHEN we will see them.
