If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

What? Oh, I wasn't thinking on those terms.

Of course, no problem, the check for $63,000 is in the mail.

Since the ad was for a Saturday - Saturday rental that he ignored and why the heck do I care anything about his goddaughter or his association with medicine or the Marines, it's going to ask for payment instructions to send his bigger than required cashiers check. Any bets?

          9-16Aug is available; $1600
this is all I sent back, think there will be a reply?

              Aloha,
Thanks for the reply and the update, following that this is a surprise package i know they will love it so much and the period you have available is very much OK,from the rental quote you provided i don't think that i have a problem with that.Sorry i did'nt mention of being in the gulf , due to calls effect to radar we have limited use of phone for now on board,l would have preferred a direct call conversation with you.
My home # though currently directed to an answering machine following that no one is at home. I left instructions and a check which contains the total of which your bill came up to and more money, when you receive payment, you will have to deduct your rental cost to pencil the days and turn over the balance to a specially recommended agent, who will offset other logistics arrangements for them like Flight tickets, car hire, sightseeing in the area, brief set up winery tours around, meals/chef and basket with wine/champagne/liquor for a pre-determined amount though the negotiation with the agent is not yet concluded, this is my desired to make their honeymoon most memorable.
Confirm this and send to me the Name whom the cashiers check payment should be made to and Address then the phone number with which to confirm it's delivery and I will send a confirmation instruction to my bearer for the payment to be sent to you immediately. As I write this, the agent is supposed to contact me through e-mail to assert his ability to take me up on the offer of logistics for the couple ,if not i will have to instruct you to have a local agent contracted to do so for them unless you don't provide such services.
Below is the guest information to prepare your rental agreement if needed, to be forwarded to me through attachment which l will sign AFTER i have secured all my financial commitments, The guests information are :

              Joanne and Charles Hurley.
              667 oxford Road Cambridge

Maybe Keitht and TROG can check out these addresses for me before the next email.

I really don't want to lose this valuable rental, I sent him the following
While a check is accepted, PayPal works best, I'll send you a 'Request' if you desire.

Good response with the PayPal option. I generally delete these opportunities.

Right, now my options are to tell him to use PayPal, or give him my address so I know that he had to send it, or give him an address like 245 Murray Drive, Building 410, Washington, DC 20223

                  Aloha Again,

Send the Information (Name,Address and Phone Number)for the check payment to be sent.
I got one of these 6 months ago where someone sent a personal check for $3500 over drawn on Wells Fargo bank. Wells Fargo said they couldn't tell me anything and didn't care. My bank said the only way they could tell me was to deposit and see if it'd clear (and charge me if it bounced). The police and FBI couldn't be bothered.

This person sent it FedEx and so there was another return address. They sent an email saying they knew it'd been received and were very pushy about getting their overage. I was out of town and said I'd take care of it when I got back. I got back and said I'd received it and put it in my pocket to take to the bank the next day and my wife washed the shirt, please send me another check and just make it for the right amount. Never heard from them again.

The native language of the author inquiring about your property is not English. If they really were a MD serving in the US Military, I believe their English would be better. I think they said they were a MD to impress you.

It sounds very, very similar to emails I have received for items I posted on craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums - I got emails written in broken english asking me to FedEx bulky/heavy low value items on a COD basis. I generally ignore these type of emails.

If he were really an MD and really in the Gulf with the Marines, he would be a Naval Officer and wouldn't be pussy footing around just calling himself an MD.

PayPal works best, just send the $1600 to my email address, then we don't have to worry about losing snail mail. Best of luck, go wadi bashing if you get to Oman.

                            Spence,

I am curious if your prospect turned out to be a flake or you got some rent money.

I'm so fed up with flakes. Other pet peeves is people who want 10 days with no comprehension that I will use up 14 days to reserve their 10. And they tell me they purchased their air fare right away for the 10 days because they could get great prices. If they had never been to a resort I might understand. But since most check in days are Friday/Saturday/Sunday and sometimes Monday at our Mexican resorts, people who email that they need to begin on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday because that was the ONLY days for their less expensive flights. BUT they don't want to use a hotel for 3 days then use a TS week.

Another man emailed two weeks ago wanting a 27 Dec - 3 Jan reservation. I thought "Great!" because that resort told me a few weeks ago we have to use TWELVE accumulated weeks before 12/31/2008 because the new owner will no longer allow accumulated weeks. This man is Mexican American and insisted on notification in writing from the resort that his name was on the confirmed reservation. Being listed as our 'guest' was not good enough. For two weeks I tried to get the Reservations Manager to respond via email and ccd the prospect. I called countless times. Often when I ask for Reservation Manager by name she says she is not there. Then when I ask to leave a message she says "Oh I am X" as she is playing games or avoiding some callers.

When I finally get her on the phone today, I receive a email from the prospect that he couldn't wait any longer and booked elsewhere. Then the Reservation Manager emailed him what she should have done two weeks ago.

I was sooooooooooooo angry at the loss of my time!

Of course they never responded when I pushed PayPal, this was an obvious scam from the start.

Sorry you're having so much trouble with your timeshare and its reservation people.
