  • TS where MF goes down if you own more points/weeks

I am wonder which TS contracts decrease the MF as owners increase the amount of points or weeks they own.

In one of our contracts it states "Buyer agrees to pay an annual maintenance fee, which for the current year is $6455.50 dollars. The amount consists of two components, the first of which is the ____Vacations Club, ___ Resorts Maintenance Fee which for the current year is $4580 US Dollars. The second component is the Program Assessment Fee which for the current year is $1875 US Dollars. The amounts may vary in subsequent years."

MF on one of our contracts seemed to decrease substantially because of this. So it seems like the MF/per point decreases as the club portion is spread over the total points/weeks.We can book as many as 22 weeks for a one bedroom per year 13 months in advance or up to 76 weeks per year if booked 60 days in advance. Currently we use the points to pay for cruises. I worry that the cruise program might change and not take all points in the future.

I am sure we'll be offered enticements to upgrade to more points when we visit this year. I would like to know if this is an unusually good deal or if many other programs are similar.

    Thanks

I think sometimes there is a flat charge for the TS Club dues, then a calculation based on points owned. So it seems like the MF/per point decreases as the club portion is spread over the total points/weeks.

I think quite a few systems have a base flat fee then a fixed fee per point, but the savings there are really not significant in the big scheme of things.

One system where the fee per point reduces significantly with bigger contracts is Royal Holiday Club.
