After that thread I thought I had pretty well smoothed over things with the reseller and with TCS, so I bought another week through them, signing the contract and sending the money April 29.
There was a $50 transfer fee in the contract, which I crossed out because the resort did not charge it on deeded weeks--just points, but TCS took the extra $50 anyway.
The purchase was a slamdunk cash deal that could have been done in a few days. But the deed was not signed until May 20, and not recorded until June 3. As of now, the resort still has not been notified of the transfer.
In the last couple of weeks the resort has decided to charge $50 to transfer deeded weeks.
So, you get my point . . .
Yeah, I'm hearing some of you, that a buyer should not be obligated for charges not in affect at the time of purchase, but that only go into affect after the fact.
