Has anyone stayed at the Otra Vez condos in Santa Fe? I am thinking of trading for one week in the fall. Are they nicer than what else is available in Santa Fe?
TOM
Haven't stayed here but we looked at it (along with all the other TS's in town as we were considering trying to trade in at some time) a couple of years ago while travelling thru Santa Fe. It's not a true resort; it's eighteen units on the upper two levels of an old restored three story building located directly on one of the main streets in the historic downtown area. The street level consists of various shops. The units were small but nicely decorated. In the typical Spanish style they face in to a rooftop patio and garden area with a small hot tub. If you want to be where the shopping, dining and nightlife is it can't be beat.
We also looked at Las Brisas and Campanilla which are also small residential condo compounds with a few units available as time share. They are a few blocks from the downtown area and both seemed to be more charming and on quiet streets. Neither had a pool or hot tub.
According to the local managers availability at all three of these places is extremely limited and all said that to exchange in would probably involve being on a search for a year or two with wide open dates.
The only true resort is the Villas de Santa Fe which is about a mile from downtown, but still within the city proper (office buildings directly across the street). This is a newer resort and the units were very nice. With a decent trader and time you should be able to get in here.
I was lucky enough to get an exchange here with RCI for 8/09. I did my search about 4 months ago, and it matched in 6/08. It is a 1 in 4 resort. Last time I stayed at Villa's of Santa Fe.
