  • What the wife took on the last trip

I know people have mentioned bringing cutlery or coffee mugs when they go to their timeshare. To me, this took the cake. My wife took the little Ziplock Vacuum System on our last timeshare trip.

I told her for months that I thought they would be good at home for keeping the lettuce and cheese around longer (and it is great for that). She wouldn't get them. Finally, they went on sale or something convinced her to buy the vacuum pump and starter bags. Now she loves it so much that she brought it to the mountain. Strange lady that married me.

I'm just glad it wasn't a vacuum cleaner, which is how I first read the beginning of your post

I thought you meant a vacuum cleaner too.. but that is definitely an interesting thing to bring on vacation. Does stuff really spoil if you are only there a week?

One time I took my Lavazza Espresso machine with about 200 pods to Lake Placid. We had a big group with us so I wanted to bring it along.

          Crazy Lady

We used to work with a woman that brought all her bedding and dishes from home because she didn't trust resorts or hotels. Luckily for me she moved about 10 years ago. She also used to call her son baby boy and when she mentioned him to anyone she said baby boy this or that. He was about 14 at the time.
I guess you are lucky with who you married. Imagine taking all of above.

No, stuff doesn't spoil in a week, so I couldn't figure out why that had to go on the trip. Sometimes, it is just better to shut up and put it in with the other packed bags.

We always bring garbage bags, lip lock bags (gallon and quart), salt, pepper and sugar. Even when we fly to our timeshare vacations. They just don’t sell (economically) the small quantities that we need for a week.

She must really like that machine!!

I have one similiar and use it when I want to freeze things. Recently I made some bread and figured I would use it to the point where it would just take the air out of the bag and then I would stop the machine and seal it up. I was busy talking and those couple of seconds...well needless to say I wrap the bread now.
