  • Is ARDA trying to form another internet Timeshare community?

Receive an eMail about an unborned website, kind make me think about the "Promote" of RCI's big thing.

It talks about free site for social timesharing networking, something like travel resource, resale and renting resource.

At the bottom, it has an ARDA logo.

Is ARDA suddenly want to become redweek? Or some spam. Than some privacy disclaim.

I am not sure if I ever signed anything on ARDA

    Will be interesting to see.

The website is call timeshareweb.com. But it has nothing yet. So don't bother to check it.

Yes, they are starting a facebook like online social networking capability. Spence and I heard all about this at ARDA. They don't have much money to make it work and the resort developers aren't doing much but giving it lip service. They won't promote TUG, but I guess they believe that if they form some really hip social networking site that they will reach more of the resort developers target market who don't know about resales. Not sure how they will prevent them from getting that info.

So, I guess some developers provide them eMail address. Will be interesting. Since they now can target the market. Not like other internet site has to depend on the search Engine or word pass.

If it works, at least the developer will have to face the resale market not to pretend it does not exists.

Do we really know if it is ARDA or someone else? The internet registration is private, so you can't find out who owns it, and it appears to be hosted on GoDaddy.

I didn't get one, let alone three, so I am going by your description of the email only. The ARDA insignia probably only is to show that they are members of ARDA, not that ARDA itself is responsible for this new website.

IMHO it sounds like another thing somebody hopes ARDA will recognize and promote to its affiliates to make their unit owners feel "special" without it having to do anything for the timeshare owners.

Just remember, ARDA's "core customers" are the resort developers, not the individual timeshare owners. Remember it long and hard when they come asking for that $3. at maintenence fee time. Any legislation they oppose is for the developer's benefit as much as yours.

I'm not sure if the resort developers are providing emails. If they did, that would be incredible.

Yes, it's ARDA. I was at the meeting where they were discussing whether or not to change the name from timeshareweb. Nobody seemed to like that name. But, it appears that they couldn't come up with anything better.

I clicked on timeshareweb.com and subscribed to it out of curiosity and got this message which sounds interesting! The more competition there is, the better for us. All the fees for this and for that are getting to me so we just use our timeshares as that was the reason why we bought them in the first place and we still enjoy the same beach vacations after many years.

This is the message I got after subscribing:
THE WEB'S FIRST 100% FREE OF IT'S KIND SOCIAL NETWORKING TIMESHARE COMMUNITY.

                        JUST AROUND THE CORNER!
                        IT'S 100% FREE!
I also looked at the eBay auction and couldn't believe the price a GOLD CROWN 4th of July WYNDHAM Glade 2BR Timeshare Deed went for. Why did it sell for $1.25? I wonder what they paid for it originally? How awful! Isn't July 4th one of the most demanded weeks?

I be dammed. This one's seller is laman34, and closed by Timeshare Closing Services, Inc. And says if owner want to get rid of their timeshare, they can contact

Interested in getting rid of your timeshare?

Please contact me through EBAY or email the details directly to Consulting@TimeshareWeb.com
Wow. Is that mean the PCC now decides to take the TS out from owner without $3000+ charge, or does that mean Adra is now decides they want to get into PCC's business model? Or ADRA just provides PCC a way to get into a list of all the Timeshare owners?

Anyway, I received a 2nd eMail from them, and still is ready to come, and ask me to regist. register for what? A page that just say we will come in a infinite time? Or confirm my eMail address for all timeshare business to target?
