  • Notes in Your Account RCI

Many VC will document dealing with them in your account. This may include favors or problems resolved. The other day I had a Vc tell me about the cancelation of a Mayan Palace 4 years ago and my request to speak with a supervisor.

There is no doubt that notes are made....and that can work for or against you when talking with a VC.

Like the other exchange companies don't write and keep notes in your account?

        You know they do...

Lawren, I am sure they all do, but for us, RCI has been the longest running relationship we have had in TS exchanging, and over 22 years you can bet the notes are long and varied.

We are only with II about 4 years now, and have had only several phone conversations in all that time, all short and sweet, pleasant and helpful. Any exchange we got with II has always been thru a direct online search.

RCI has so many shenanigans in messing up our trade value, and other glitches (like not refunding when told to), and they have so many strong arm sales tactics that our relationship with them has had more downs than ups....so the notes are helpful to them in understanding our perception of their service, and helps them to either dig in their heels or be more helpful....we have had both experiences...but the truth is, when we are forced into having to deal with RCI by telephone, we hate it! We prefer to deal only online, not with the VCs.

            I agree with you wholeheartedly.

My point was that ALL of the exchange companies keep notes in your account. It is not an exclusive to RCI.

That is so true, and it isn't exclusive to TS companies....your cable company, your credit card company, or your doctor's office...all of them can tag a little notepad item to alert the CSR person to your "history".

Interval International does not encourage their VC to document things in your account. Call up and ask one.

My purpose is to remind people that if they try to outslick someone at RCI it may come back to bite them.

I was not referring to Interval International.

Well, here is what I want on my account:

"Very vocal timeshare message board member. Do whatever he wants to avoid PR problems."

That will not get you anywhere, Bum - I think they hate internet groups. Being nice has worked for me so far - but it's a bit tougher every time.

                          Huh!?

                          As I posted last month:

while sorting through one of the piles of crap on my desk. Then I looked and found it in my old Outlook Express. Lots of other interesting stuff in there from long, long ago.

From RCI from 6 years ago:

                          > > Thank you also for your diligence in bringing issues to our attention.
                          > > While I know that diligence such as yours is important when you have
                          made

                          the
                          > > future.

                          You think that was insincere?

If I had a dollar for every time I have said to a Guide, "If you will look at our account you will see where it says (not fit for the Internet ) . . . .", I could retire and move to the lake.
