Does anyone have any general or specific information on this Resort/Timeshare facility?

I'm very new to any such concept, beyond a recent visit to Orlando and Visiting the Hilton Grand Vacations resort and listening to their pitch. Does anyone know if this resort is similar/different?

I would have more specific questions, but I'm acting in proxy for my Wife who is actually staying in the Dominican R. at their resort with friends and family and they are "looking into" a purchase.

    Thank you

I stayed there 3 years ago, went thru there sales pitch, it was not high preasure, its was RTU for 30 or so years three bedroom villa was about $58,000, one week $30.00 per day AI per person, cant remember what were the MFs, but
even thought you only buy one week you or your guest could use the resort all year, you just had to pay $30.00 per day per. person AI, they were building new Villas (Gourgous) but they did not maintain them as the ones we stayed in had water leaking in the living room , they came look at a half flooded living room, told us they were full and afther we leave they would take it out of service and fix it,
we meet up with friends from the west coast that stayed at another resort, they hated DR, the DR is ok but I would not go back, and I love the Caribbean
there is no nite life, nothing to do in the days, no nice Resturants, Beach just ok,
tell DW to have fun, But DONT BUY

To add to what BC said, while they are sticking a few new villas in the development, the bulk of the villas are actually privately owned and leased by LHVC so their furnishing may differ but I believe the leases provide for maintenance by LHVC. AI fees are higher than quoted, last I heard ~$40 but if you're going in there on an exchange it is more like $80 per person per night in the hotel or if you have a villa it's like $800 per villa per night. They are readily available through some of the independents like TPI or DAE and I think RCI may have them. The exchange companies get these from LHVC in exchange for fresh meat.
