  • Purchased re-sale and 2009 useage

Purchased a re-sale with marriott, the deed is now in my name. Marriott has indicated to me that the previous owner still has the week for 2009. However, the previous owner issued me a Guest Certificate for that week. How do I get II to recognize me as the true owner of this week and how to get them to transfer this week in my name with full rights as the previous owner had.

Not Marriott owner or II owner, so could be totally wrong. Based on your prior post, look like the old owner already make exchange from II and get a week, and give you the GC for it? if the exchange already made, I don't think you have many choices (since the deposit week may already be taken).

You can set up your II account and they will verify your ownership and start from there.

But for 2009 week, you already has GC, so you can only use that exchanged week.

If they just deposit that week into II, but never exchange it out, after you set up the account, they can transfer the deposit week to your account. But that means they should not need to get GC for you.

Once you've sent in your enrollment form to Interval (showing your usage starting 2010), they will confirm the ownership with Marriott within about a week and you'll be ready to go.. If you show your usage starting 2009- you might have delays as Marriott will respond that the usage isn't available..

I'm not too sure about the idea of transferring the banked week from one account to another. If you already have a guest certificate for your reservation- there isn't a banked week left.... I'm not even sure what the process if that allows members to transfer banked weeks back and forth..

If you don't like the dates reserved for you- you will be out of luck..
