  • Can you buy bonus weeks on "off" years?

If I were to buy an ODD year Festiva resale, can I still take advantage of bonus weeks on even years? I'm assuming not, but thought I'd ask.

Anyone know how much Festiva bonus weeks usually go for anyway?

    Thanks,

    Karyn

I don't know anything about your particular resort group and its policies, but you certainly could take advantage of "Last Call" and "Extra Vacations" if you belong to RCI. And SFX has a "sell off list" that I hope to make use of in the coming years.

Since Festiva was not mentioned in the title, so that some may look at this to find out about any "bonus weeks", RCI members can get any.

In fact, they don't even have to own a week, so that every year is an off year.

        Thanks for your help!

I just called Festiva owner services and got my answer--guess I should have thought to start with them!

Anyway, the Festiva rep said you CAN get a bonus week (within 60 days or less) in a non usage year. He said it'd be the cost of the maint. fee + $59 admin. fee which confused me because I thought they go for less than that. Oh well.

        Anyway, thanks for your input!

That would be a good deal, because you did not to pay anything to purchase a week.

Would it be a better deal if all you had to pay was the maintenance fee, without having to buy?

But, then it would just be a resort, like normal people go to. You know, where they have maid service and stuff.

I agree, Maint. Fee + $59 isn't a bad deal for a bonus week during the nonusage years. I'm not complaining, but I was confusing bonus weeks with the $199/w extra weeks that I'd read about somewhere for Festiva VIP members. Under $5oo isn't bad, but $199 would be better yet! Not sure how to become a VIP though.

I was just trying to determine if there was any reason to purchase annual vs. EOY. Since we'd be eligible to get a bonus week in the off years (if we wanted to), I see no compelling reason to buy an annual deed Heck, I'd go for a triennial if I could find one!
