Do you think it's best to place a request on your exchange?
Or do you think it's best to look online to find an exchange?
Or should you do both?

What works fastest?

I know that depositing your week early is key, but I was wondering if doing one, or the other (or both), is key as well.

What have you done to get the best exchanges?

I've had the best success with putting in an ongoing request, but checking regularly as well.

Just my personal experience and I'm talking mainly RCI. I've not had a lot of success with ongoing searches with Interval frankly, because I tend to plan my vacations 18 months to two years ahead, which doesn't work well with Interval.

Each system is different. IMHO, you need first do a few on-line search or just search on the EX-Op site here to get a feeling what you are looking at. And what your deposit worth.

Each has its own advantage and disadvantage. Even when you put a request for exchange, sometimes you still may want to remind the exchange company, don't assume they have a computer system that can do wonder on their part.
