Lowest Rate since after 9/11

Average Hotel Rate Statewide in October was $177.41

O'ahu $163.44
Maui $223.88
Big Island $183.36
Kaua'i $191.50

Franz Hanning, CEO and President of Wyndham Vacation Ownership in a conference call said the tour flow is off 14%.

I was booked on a flight from Lihue to Seattle scheduled to leave at 11:30 pm last Friday night. The plane had mechanical problems and the airline ended up housing all of the passengers, maybe 165 people, overnight at the Kauai Marriott.

I was shocked that the Marriott had room for everyone at 3 am, but they did.
