  • What do you think of Redweek?

    Hi,

I have a few HDM weeks that I likely will not be able to use in 2009 - I have never rented a week before. What do you think of redweek? Are there any other "reliable" ways to rent my week?

    Thanks....

Redweek and Tug worked great for me in the past, not this year, I had 3 new year weeks that normaly rent as soon as posted, Not this year
but you can try tug ,they have free posting, then a couple weeks lated if no hits then try Redweek, or here on this board,
Check prices on ebay , tug, and redweek and make sure you price yours a little less

I've had rentals on Redweek for the past 3 weeks without so much as an email. I've posted the same on MyResortNetwork.com and had 2 interested parties email me. Both cost about $20 to advertize.

        2009 may be better

as so far 2008 since March has been brutal on our rentals

We use Tug( have rented a couple) redweeks , bidshares, craigslist, and any other site that is low cost or free plus our website.

Redweeks brings qualified renters, myresort has lots of looky loos, craigslist is rife with scam artists, with just 3 week to rent, I would use Tug , and craigslist.

        fwiw,

        Greg

Thank you all for sharing your experiences..
I posted a few weeks on TUG being that it is free just to test it out..

I don't like having to rent weeks, I'd rather USE them! but, I just have so many bonus weeks now that I will end up paying the maintenance on anyway...

Redweek is a more user friendly site than TUG, don’t know which one is better if you want to sell or rent your timeshare. However, if you are looking to rent or buy a timeshare then I would go to Redweek because there are more postings available and it is very easy to navigate through the available weeks and locations.

I was unsuccessful renting through Redweek, with the one week I placed there. I personally have rented through TUG. I think TUG is slightly better, but Redweek seems to be nice quality. Just not sure what the demand is right now.
