    Hi
I am new to this site and timeshare. I just bought an odd year sheraton vistana resort cascade 2 bd at orlando from a resale company on 12/21/08. use yr starts on 2009. compare to my coworker who purchased the same timeshare retail, my price is much cheaper. However, I didn't realize that resale at this resort does not have the staroption for internal exchange, which I assume I would have like my friend. In addition, this resale co only mentions the maintenance fee but does not say anything about the special assessments for this timeshare for 2009/2010 which is more than $1000. (I found out this assessment from this forum)

what should I do? I am over the 1 wk period for recinding the contract. Please advise. thanks

Do they have to disclose special assessments?

I would say it depends on the resale company you bought it from. Some have better policies than others. I would fight them over the lack of clarity....what does the contract say?

        sheraton timeshare special assessment

The contract makes no mention of the 2009 special assessment. I was charged the maintenance fee, transfer fee and closing fee in addition to the cost of the timeshare. Under the heading of other fees, it was listed as zero.
