US Postal is USPS correct?? Not UPS correct (Brown)? I may just as well use USPS since that is closer to my house..

Yes United States postal service. The important thing is the Post mark and that you can prove you sent it in time. I don't believe it needs to be notorized, Just make sure that is sent by registered(certified) mail and that you request a return reciept.

IMHO, you only have to follow the laws of the state in which you purchased the timeshare. Additional obsticals placed by the developer should be easily overcome if you've followed those laws and you can prove that your intent was to cancel the contract, that you wrote the appropriate letter and that you made the necessary effort to have that letter delivered by a generally acceptable service.

The most important things are to prove that you sent the letter and to get proof that the letter was sent and recieved (or that they refused delivery, which I don't think would set will with state autorities).
The specific cancellation instructions are being provided in an electronic format via a disk in the new owner packet. Many developers are moving to this type of "notification" since it decreases the cancellation rate.

Well, I got everything mailed off via registered mail with return receipt in time and now they say they have to give me an invoice?? For WhAT!?

I got a phone call with a blocked number (mind you I never answer blocked numbers). I get a message stating that they need to give me an invoice pertaining to my refund?? I called back and left a message and have yet to hear from them....

What is this invoice?? Anyone know??

          Thanks

Disk? She didn't have any thing that resembled a disk or anything that resembled any sort of electronic format. Who knows, maybe she left that part at home. All I asked her to bring in was all of the paperwork she received.

I haven't personally heard this one before. Chances are, they just want to take a shot at getting you to keep your purchase.

Well it has been 7 days since the delivery of my cancellation letter and still no refund. And I still have not been contacted back after leaving my message on the number I got from them. Strange how the number does not state who's number it is...it just says to leave a message.

I'll keep this thread open until my refund comes.

Based on current conditions . . . you should be able to get what you want for free, or a buck on eBay.

& you should not want anything from Wastegate cuz it's uncomfortable with Mr. S's hand in your pocket all the time. Besides, you know where that hand's been!!!
