  • Need help ASAP on how to cancel Wyndham Ownership Program!

I need help on how I can cancel our contract with Wyndham's Ownership Program and do not know how to go about doing so.

My fiancee and I signed everything and it all sounded good and we had every intentions on this but when we came back home from vacation, we got hit hard financially and more money will be going out towards bills and it's hard to make it now and we will be taking over all bills and rent on the house we are living at now. We were traveling home and didn't realize the time frame we had to cancel and we are past that but it will soon be 30 days. No money has been taken out and our first payment would not be until the middle of Feb.

I have called our salesperson who sold us the package and he has said that he's talking with managers and I should be hearing back from him or a manager but I haven't yet and time is ticking away and we really need out of this contract.

We do not know what our next steps would be to go about getting out of this contract and what we have to do! Any help would be appreciated!

I would not rely on your salesman to do anything for you. Be very careful in any proposals he/she offers you and be sure they are clear and in writing.

Personally I would try to recind following the proceedures outlined in the signed contract as a start even if the date of recision has passed. I would not wait for the salesman to get back to me.

Since you are past the recision period you may be legally obligated and there may not be much you can do but to try to negotiate your way out of it.

Welcome to TUG. I wish it were in better circumstances. Unfortunately, Wyndham tends to play hardball in this situation. Good luck.

You have pass the legal rescind day, it will be too late.

If you really in bankrupcy situation, you should talk to a lawyer first, it will help you sort out all the possibilities and (s)he will give you a better suggestion on what you will face on your different obligation.

You can still try to talk to Wyndham (not the sale person, but more likely financial department). But I don't think they shall budget.

        Good luck.

I would defenetelly talk to someone at the office and not the salesperson. He gets the commission and wont want to loose that.
Also call BBB they may suggest other ways to go about. Tell BBB that salesperson lied about the program, it sounded so beautiful and cheap way to travel, but when you came home and started to read the papers and other people comments, you realized you cant afford it and need to cancel.
I write to BBB all the time and they are a great help to me.
          try them.
