With the new VRI*ety internal exchange finally up and running (for VRI-managed resort owners), I'm really curious as to how Vacation Resort International (VRI) is making it all happen...
For the months leading up to its debut last week, the owners were told that it was going to be handled by RCI, etc... Yet, when I gained access the next day, it turns out that it is being handled by Trading Places International--at least, that is where all their inventory seems to be coming... (I know because a VRI-resort that I deposited months ago thru TPI is finally showing up on the VRI*ety exchange website; and it says Trading Places in various places on the internal website).
What is going on? I know that RCI currently gives an owner preference to VRI-resorts (i.e., lower exchange fees)--will that continue? Or, is VRI*ety by Trading Places meant to replace all that? Are RCI and Trading Places becoming friendly to one another?
Ah, the speculation!
