For us, it is our Casa del Mar in Aruba. We have been owners since it opened, and love going each year. We have missed only two or 3 years because of family matters or when we moved from NY. Even when we had to depost rather than go there, we ended up using the deposits to trade back into CDM and extend our time there.

We like all the timeshares we own but our favorite is Desert Breezes in Palm Desert. We go about 4 weeks per year even though we only own 1 week. I trade in whenever I can with bonus weeks and also stay using what is called Breezes time that can be booked at 6 months or less. They are weeks that are owned by the Association. It must be booked for a full week at the current MF & a small fee. The money goes to the Association. The fee goes to the management company.
Anywho...Desert Breezes is our favorite because it is within driving distance and is just a nice, comfortable place with a quiet atmosphere. Very relaxing. The legitimate object of Government is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done but cannot do at all or cannot do so well for themselves”- Lincoln

Mine is Pahio Shearwater on Kauai where we own for quite a few years. We have been going there every year since purchasing. I love to sit on my spacious lanai and do nothing, just watching the ocean gently waving...We have only been there in the summer. I have been told that the ocean is a lot rougher in winter months.

This is an interesting question because T/S Wisdom tells you to buy where you would like to return year after year.
Well, I did that...then quickly found out that I like traveling and seeing other places.
So, I sold that one and bought in to a system that lets me visit various places as well as trade. The funny thing is-the system I bought includes one of my all time favorite places (Bass Lake, Ca) We had been traveling there year after year and staying in vacation homes. So, it made sense. Even though we love it there-we still became burnt out on it.
It's been 4 years since I started timesharing and I have never stayed in the T/S there. I will doing that next month. However, I fear it may not "feel" the same. I hope not. I am very excited for the trip!
So, that said, this is what we talk about at home...We always throughly enjoy our "first" time anywhere. We come home and say-that was great! We loved it! We should do it again! Right away! But really, there are so many other places and experiences to be had-that we just move on to the next place because we think you can never recapture that "first time"
So, I guess I don't really have a favorite. I set out to have one in Bass Lake. A place where we could make childhood memories-and I believe we have-but we have made A LOT of great memories elsewhere too

No real favorites.....The only two timeshares that I would most likely return to each year are Gurney's, and the MC. Unfortunately, I don't own at either of them, nor do they trade through II. Well, the penthouse suites in the MC do, but good luck trying to get one of those.
There are just so many places to see, and things to do, that we've been trying to experience new places, each year. We also like traveling to Europe, and have only scratched the surface of the cities, and towns to see there.
We have been to locations that we've loved, and would like to go back to, but for now, we prefer traveling to new destinations.Angela

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

We have been timesharing since 1992, and have been to many wonderful places. Our very favourite is the Houses at Summer Bay. Unfortunately, it is a 1 in 4, and I could just cry when I see it come available and can't grab it. We also like the Wyndham Grand Desert and the Longboat Bay Club.

Also, the town of Laguna Bch was great.....I particularly liked the artsie nature of the town. Not too many towns where you can find clothing shops where the designer/owner is on the premise, making one of a kind clothing, for very reasonable prices. What fun!Angela

Our favorite is Morritt's Tortuga Club in Grand Cayman. This is the first timeshare we purchased in 1994 from a presentation given in Indianapolis. We bought a poolside studio unit ... cheapest unit available. With the kids being in school, we couldn't afford the airfare at the time and traded through RCI for the first few years.
Our son was actually the first to use our unit as we sent him there for his honeymoon. Was also able to send our daughter there for her honeymoon. This is her absolute favorite vacation spot as she got to go with us several times while still in high school and college.
On our first visit we upgraded to a poolside 2BR penthouse ... couple years later upgraded to oceanfront 2BR townhouse ... then after Ivan upgraded to a 2BR Seaside oceanfront unit.
Bought a 2nd unit (resale) 1BR oceanfront in 2006 and am currently in the process of purchasing a Seaside Penthouse unit. Between our owned units, bonus weeks from the resort, and RCI trades, we always get our Cayman fix in at least once if not twice a year.Vicki

Like Angela, I have returned more than anywhere to Gurney's and the Manhattan Club. RCI has taken care of my MC jones with the 1 in 4, though fortunately I now have a place to stay in the city so no longer need it. If Gurney's closes the restaurant (did I hear this rumor, or was it a bad dream?), I won't go back there - the lack of kitchen would kill it, dovetailing with your other question, KM.
As for "fly to" places, we went back to the Royals in Cancun 3 times, but I think I'm done with Mexico. We went back to the Marriotts in Hilton Head more times than I count, but not to one specific resort -- we stayed at 4 different places, I liked them all, and there are at least 4 others I'd be happy to return to.
Morritt's is definitely on my list. Though I've only been twice so far, I'm certain there are return visits in my future, and I do own there. Same for Kona Hawaiian Resort...
I like going back to a place I know, but I find that after a while, I'm ready for something new...

Like Katie..I own at Casa Del Mar and just love going there. We have a corner unit right on the water...its fabulous.
My other favorite is Casitas Del Monte in Palm Springs. Only 20 units,,well kept, great management. Love going for a few weeks in March when the weather on the eastcoast is brutal and the PS temps are mid-80's.

Our favorite is The Ridge Tahoe in Lake Tahoe.
We bought the Tower unit before it was finished about twenty five years ago and loved it. Finally sold it after four years because wife and I both union workers and by time we picked our vacatons and matched each other we had no chance of good weeks. Waste of our money!
In 2005 when I had to retire we went back up and looked at the Marriott and didn't care for it for many reasons. We went right up to the Ridge Resales office and bought our timeshare and have loved it.
We bought a even year unit last year because we found we wouldn't make a exchange with only one unit.
Most years we go up for July 4th week like this year and every other year we can do a exchange if we would like.
We already have July 4th this year and 2010 and 2011 and Labor Day 2010.
We understand we will not go up Sept 3-9, 2010 so it makes for great trade or rent it out and still have our July week to use.
Love Lake Tahoe and The Ridge Tahoe!
