Do you have a favorite TS resort that you return to again and again?

We love going back to Eagle Crest in central Oregon. In a lot of ways it's nothing special, but on the other hand, it's exactly what a resort should be, in my mind. We didn't go last year, and the whole family felt as if something was missing from our summer.

You have to separate off whether it is the location or the resort that is your favorite. We normally never visit a place more than once. However there are 2 exceptions to this. We have stayed 5 times at the Grand Mayans ( 4 at GM-Riviera Maya, and 1 at GM-Nuevo Vallarta ) for 2 weeks each visit. This was because we love the Grand Mayans and it is our favorite resort by far. The other exception is New York City. We have stayed at the Manhattan Club but the MC is not a reason for us to visit NYC. The city is the attraction. We have also stayed at the Michelangelo Hotel which is an upscale property in mid-Manhattan. We far preferred the hotel to the MC. We will visit NYC repeatedly regardless of where we stay.

We have also visited Las Vegas many times but I don't count that anymore as we prefer to go to our local Harrah's resort. We have stayed at timeshares in Las Vegas 9 times at 3 different resorts but that was because we had family stay with us. If it is just us, or with our 2 adult children, then we stay at one of the several casino/hotels where we are fully comped. We no longer visit Las Vegas except for family reunions or if we are going through it anyway like a couple of weeks ago when we stayed at the Paris for 5 nights on our way back from Utah.

The Grand Mayans are the only resort we will visit more than once because of the resort. I am not an owner at any of the timeshare resorts that we visit.

For me it's the Royal Caribbean in Cancun. I've been going every year since we bought in 2000. My wife has friends who own there and has been going with them since 1988. She always tried to get me to go, but back then i had no desire to go to Mexico.

It all changed in 2000 when i finally said yes. I was blown away and when we came home i did alot of resale research and bought one.

We never trade or rent it. We are not even members of Interval. We use our SA for the trading. My best bud and his wife bought a week there too. So between friends and family we have about four villas.
