Yes, this was our most amazing and truly unique timeshare experience too. I can still hear the sound of the cascading waterfalls (there are eight of them) and see the beautiful bay of Banderas from the open living room or our private pool. Conchas Chinas is a lovely area in Puerto Vallarta with beautiful Mexican style homes in this residential neighborhood of winding streets on a steep hill. It should have come to my mind immediately but I was thinking of the bigger resorts on the beach with lush landscaping and big pools but Ocho Cascadas is so romantic, private and very special. We even had a private cook several times that week who did the shopping, cooking and cleaning up for us. We felt so spoiled.

Here is a write-up (16 pages) by one of the timeshare owners for people who have never heard of this resort. He included lots of pictures too which will give you a very good idea how unique it is. A condo without windows and doors except for the entrance.

I wonder if this building has sold now in this soft real estate market as the RTU contracts will run out at the end of this year? What a pity for the owners at this resort.

Too funny! I am amazed also at the prices some resorts are getting for their units!

I really liked the Galleon in Key West. I had a 2br overlooking the ocean. I really loved it. Houses of Summer Bay, and Greensprings in Wmsburg were also wow. I also loved the "feel" of Red Wolf Lodge. I was lucky getting the room that faced the lake and had its on porch. The only one I really didn't like was Adventure Inn at Hilton Head. shaggy

Grand Mayan Acapulco is drop dead gorgeous. When you enter the magnificant marble lobby with fish pond in center that looks like the end drops into the ocean it is awesome and you just look at each other smile and it's a double wow!!!!!!!!

We have been there twice and can't wait to go again

We love Sweetbriar At the Water Edge - North Lake Tahoe.

            http://www.sweetbriar.com/tahoe_units.html

It is a three bedroom that faces the Lake. Tahoe EdgeLake Beach Club has one unit there and the rest are individual owned or quarter owned. It is a town house and the Master Bedroom and Living Room look out at the Lake. We are every other year - Odd Year owners. We have stayed there once - Christmas Week and are going this year - First week of October, can't wait.

              Me too! Huge Wow factor.

Also was blown away by my first timeshare stay at Shearwater on Kauai. Loved the spacious rooms and the great view!
