I always go in the pool and don't even think about it. My kids love it. If you don't like the pool, don't even THINK of using a phone or computer than don't belong to you, or push a grocery cart. I think they have proven that some of those things are dirtier than a toilet!!

I have to say we have never stayed at a timeshare that didn't have a very clean pool! Most resorts have pool parties with the guest and many families spend a third of their time in the pool area of the timeshare resort.

If this problem ever did happen to us I would be in managers office and finding out why. I also would tell them I was calling II and also posting a bad review on these forums for other owners to read.

This will get some results, good or bad but you will get results.

Isn't that what Chlorine fixes? I never worry about this when on vacation.

I seldom go in the pools at timeshares, however I rarely miss a day in the pool at the Royals in Cancun. The only other pool I remember swimming in more than once was at Pollard Brook in NH.

It depends on the pool and the weather. Like others said, if the water is crystal clear then we will use the pool and or spa. We have our own pool and spa so the pool is not a big deal for us however at some resorts the pool is one of the highlights. Proper pool maintenance will take care of any problems.

Swim in it, don't drink it.

I realize pools are often under-sanitized, but I am a pool freak. I swim every day, vacation or no and have never gotten sick. I keep my eyes and mouth closed for the most part...never drink the stuff...shower before and after and rinse out my suit with hot soapy water. No problem.

We do not use hot tubs and for pools. I always look to see if there is a water filtration system working.

What do people do in the pool? They PEE. Kids love to do this. Now, how does that make you feel. I go "TO" the pool, just not "IN" the pool. I do not trust how well the pool is maintained unless I do it myself!

I spent 12 years as a competitive swimmer and even had "pit practice" (disgusting pond) so nothing scares me. But the pool is not a major attraction for me having spent my youth at them, in them. I prefer the hot tub. Water color and temp are deciding factors for me.

I do wish parents would keep underaged kids out of the hot tubs.

One of the resorts I frequent has an indoor pool and until 11 AM it is adults only.
