  • Help choosing Exchange company

I'm looking for some advice on which one to pay for a membership at..

    RCI or II.

My resort has both. I probably don't have a good trader but would like to exchange if possible. (RCI #0667 , II, MRK) week 23(1Bd)/50(2bd)

Because I don't have a good trader I'm trying to figure out which one will give me the most perks..

IE: Which has the best deals/places for 'getaways' or 'last call vacations'.. it's probably what I would make the most use of

You should also consider the following independent exchange companies, many of which have free membership:

Timeshares & Time Share Exchange Service-DAELive.com
    Untitled Document (Hawaii Timeshare Exchange)
Trading Places International - Timeshare Rentals, Exchange, Resales, and Travel Services
    www.platinuminterchange.com

Your resort does not have to affiliate for you to use one or several independent exchange companies.

I have RCI and have used Extra Vacations and Last Calls (That is my biggest reason for keeping them)

We also use SFX (I dont know if they will take your resort)
Trading Places and HTSE are also good options in my Opinion
      Many like Dial and Exchange

You also need to understand where the independents get more dependable inventory. If they suit your areas for vacation they are the better option.

You are correct that neither week 23 or 50 at Mountainside Resort at Stowe would have terrific trading power. Some of the indies do not have trading power restrictions however.

So where is it you would like to travel in the next 2 years?

          Choose Interval Int'l over RCI

Interval International has higher quality resorts available in both the long term exchange and the short term. Flexchange is sixty days or less allowing you to upgrade to larger units and to higher value resorts. Getaways are inexpensive rentals but the integrity of their operation is far above and beyond RCI.
Your trading value is average so maximize that value by depositing your unit in as far advance of check in that your resort allows (up to two years) and make reservation requests a long time in advance or enjoy the interactive inventory availibilities in the sixty day or less window.
If you take the camping/outdoor type locations out of RCI then Interval has just as many resorts.
Expect RCI to change the rules at anytime.
The standard operating procedure of RCI is to move the finish line after you start the race.
The nice part is you have the choice to try both and determine for yourself which works best for you.
