RCI Last Call Recommendations

I'm trying to get a Last Call week for either Friday/Saturday check in dates: 6/24/ or 6/25, 7/31 or 8/1, 8/7 or 8/9.

This will be my very first timeshare experience(except our intro to our resort) so I'm a little overwhelmed with looking thru what's available to pick some where to go..

I really didn't want to go to Florida.. been there done that too many times, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of other options available.

I live on the East coast in CT. I would prefer to drive but am open to FLY.

With what is out there right now, Does anyone have any recommended resorts?

We looked at the Crown Point Resort in AR. My daughter thought that sounded cool but I'm not seeing a close airport?

It would be 2 adults and 2 15yr girls.. We are not crazy about the beach. One day at the beach is enough for us. Love canoeing, bike riding, historic site seeing etc... Love to explore and do differnent things.

I have a goal to visit every state.. so we like to go somewhere different every year!

Wow.. 44 people read my post..but not one of you guys had any recommendations!

I really love these forums, but sometimes I really feel being a newbie has some serious disadvantages..

I'm one of 44 that read your post, but didn't have time to check last call to see availability. You need to understand that with last call, you don't get a great choice. It is weeks left over that people don't want to trade into. You need to check it daily to see what is there and if you see something you want, grab it and place it on hold until you decide.

The Grandview Las Vegas is available 31st July, I own at that resort. It's 5 miles south of the main strip but right next door to the excellent South Beach casino which has loads of activities for all the family, it also has about 8 restaurants including one of the cheapest buffet breakfasts in Vegas. You can always go to the strip to watch a show or rent a car to go to the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon and the valley of Fire.
The Grandview itself now has 3 swimming pools and the rooms are very nice, I would certainly recommend it as a Last Call holiday worth trying.

Ditto. There are rare occassions when Last call will work but it's become more difficult since the "enhancement".

I actually mentioned yesterday that the nicer last minute exchange sightings are also available as rentals but even the ones in the next 12 days are in Extra Vacation not Last Call and quite pricey. There are a couple of ways to skin that cat too...


you already ruled out Florida which is where the majority of LCs are this morning. you need at least a 1bedroom and preferably 2. That throws out the 7 I see in the mid-south all hotels and studios. There is one in the poconos but I wouldn't stay there.

I also have a horrible prediliction for beach which you also don't want.

Makes it tough to assist. Looking through the list for July there are 29 Last Calls in the US this is the only "gem" but it doesn't fit your dates:
