Pet Friendly Timeshares
I thought I had posted this before, but sent a client here and he couldn't locate the old thread. If this has been duplicated, please accept my apologies!
I'm often asked about pet policies and created this template as a response with helpful information and suggestions to clients hoping to find a pet friendly timeshare!

ALWAYS be sure to double check with the resort for their specific policies before you travel! Some resorts that appear on pet friendly lists have limitations.. And resort policies can change without notice! Common questions you should ask are:
*Are pets allowed in the villas or required to be placed in kennels? (some resorts show as pet friendly but require onsite kennels)
*Is there limited availability of pet-friendly units? (some resorts have a limited number of units available to pet owners and you must request this)
*Where are pets allowed on the property? (some resorts have onsite campground sections and only allow pets there- not in the timeshare villas)
*What are the size and breed limitations?
*Are additional fees required for the pet?
Also, let your vet know you plan to be traveling with your pet and get contact info in case you need to reach them! Remember to look up local vets in the areas you travel to.. In the event of an emergency- you don't want to be unprepared!
Finally, Buyers should always be aware that pet policies at any specific resort are subject to change, and that some resorts allow owners to bring pets, but do not allow guests or exchanges the same privilege. RV ownership and RV Resorts are also an option to explore.
