hey I have a studio on the beach in puerto vallarta costa sur it used to be costa vida and have owned it for 20 years .last year I traded it for the first time.I gave up 2 weeks plus about $200 to upgrade to a 2 bed 2 ba at papakea on maui for 1 week I want to know if I did allright or could I have done better .I went through trading places

I would say that you did OK. Mexican timeshares typically do NOT have much trading power, especially a studio. Of course it would help to know what resort you exchanged your PV one for.

If you use rent cost, this is your comparison. Looks fair enough.

If you use TPI, that is their standard rate for upgrade. As long as you willing to take it, it is a fair trade.

Not sure what you can get using other trading company with your deposit.
