So far my 8 timeshare vacations all met my expectations. Haven't really noticed any problems yet with the associations in respect to lack of services as I thought would be a problem considering I would imagine many people didn't pay their maintenance fees this year with all the economic woes.

We went on two vacations this year. This is our first year of ownership.

We went to Bonnet Creek which is on Disney property on our first vacation and it was AWESOME! My kids were so excited about the resort. It was perfect and it was really a plus that the bus takes you to the parks!

We went to Washington D.C. and stayed Old Town Alexandria in July and it was really nice. The resort was small and the service was excellent! The people who work there were so nice and helpful! It was also a great huge plus that the metro was right next door to the resort. We could see the metro station from our window.

On the same trip we went to Williamsburg, Virginia and stayed at Kingsgate. It was nice too. There was a BBQ pit in the back yard and we BBQed. It was nice.

I have been more than happy with our vacations this year!

In reverse order... my latest trip, to Newport RI, far exceeded my expectations. The week prior, at Oak n Spruce fell far below. I wasn't able to fit more timeshare into this summer, which was disappointing, though we did get in a couple of short B&B getaways.

Jazzfest in NOLA was awesome. We had a great time in Palm Springs but chose our location poorly in relation to where we would spending most of our time. Also had a great stay at Powell Place in SFO, a lovely surprise exceeding expectations. My kids were in Tahoe that week, they loved the resort (Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort), but found it overcrowded during President's week. My New Year's week ski trip to Vermont with the kids pretty much met my expectations - subpar accommodations but we don't get too picky for that week at or near Vermont ski resorts and are thrilled to find anything...

I am very much looking forward to Bermuda in October, last trip of 2009.

I can't answer the specific criteria you've asked for - that seems like detailed review stuff not for a thread per se, but these are my overall impressions looking back.

We went to our home resort as usual for July 4th week and as always everything was great. We always get great service as owners and love Lake Tahoe!

In Feb., we went to PVR, stayed the first week at Lindo Mar, clean and cosy,
staff there is always very professional. Second week spent at Velas Vallarta, took the all inclusive and got spoiled form head to toe!

In April, used a bonus wk cert. from Trading Places and went to Honolulu for a week w/ Lifetime in Hawaii at the Royal Kuhio. Unit is small but clean, the ladies that checked us in was the most friendliest I've ever encountered! They gave us coolers, surf boards to use.......

In May, went to Kelowna and stayed at the Grand Okanagan. Everything at the resort is fine. Bought 4 cases of wine, ate and drank a lot! Just sold this timeshare for $500 cause the maintenance fee is close to $900. Bought another week in Hawaii though.....

All in all, all the resorts we went to have met our expectations, now looking forward to next year.............

Our first timeshare trip of 2009 was to Wyndham Smokey Mountains in May. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious and had a beautiful view, more than met our expectations!

Our second timeshare vacation was at Worldmark Bass Lake in July. What a wonderful unit for 2 couples! Two bedrooms (with king beds!) and 2.5 baths plus laundry in unit. What a fun trip! Was much nicer than we expected!

First trip was to Windjammer Landing St. Lucia. 2BR hillside villa with private pool, 5 decks and the most awesome view of beach and ocean I have ever seen. Outstanding resort and beautiful island made for great vacation.

2nd trip Mayan Palace Riviera Maya. Great resort with outstanding pool but beach and caribbean sea nice to look at but unswimable. Went with my 2 married daughters and my adorable grandkids so had an outstaning time. Enjoyed resort but check in was a major hassle as they wanted to put us in two seperate buildings 5 and 21. I kept arguing and showed them email I sent requesting we be put near the pool with both 2BR units next to each other or at least on same floor and same building. After finally getting a manager and waiting over an hour we got two 2br suites in building 5 but seperate floors which was fine. No way I will ever return to this resort which is way too spread out and we would have had a disaster in building 21 with kids needing to go back and forth to room to nap or get things they forgot. Otherwise really had a great time with family. Just not worth the hassle and would hate being stuck in several of the far away buildings with building 21 being one of the furthest from the pool and beach.

Annual family vacation to Vacation village at Weston for spring break. Very nice resort which meets our needs and always has enough suites available to accomodate our large group of family and friends. Not the best location in Florida but we have been getting together at this resort for several years and just have a great time with our friends and family.

My winter/spring trips included a stay at Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta - because we traded in thru SFX, we were treated as guests of the owners - which made our experience VERY nice as we received owner perks The second week was at Villa Del Palmar Flamingos - the check-in could have been much nicer as we were traveling with an owner (I think the communication could be improved and if the check-in clerk could not understand us, they should have referred us to someone with better English language skills - YES, I know I was in Mexico but at the GM, the check-in staff was bilingual) there but once we got our room, everything was very nice.

We visited Morritt's Tortuga and are now multi-week owners resale - can't beat the location. Based on what I know now - I have a better understanding of why the sales staff was so unpleasant. The check-in staff, bar and restaurant staff and cleaning staff were wonderful - going back next year.

Marriott Aruba Surf - love the resort and the island...go every year.

DVC Saratoga Springs - great time, great location, nice studio unit - it is not the happiest place on earth for nothin'

Marriott Marbella Beach Club....wonderful resort with a nice staff, nice units, warm and friendly Spanish people.

                    So far, so good!

Cozumel - El Cid for us... And we absolutely loved it! I think from now on, we're just going to have to go there every year.

This year we went to Wyndham/FF Nashville, I could not have had a better vacation. Everything was perfect!!

Went to Taino Beach/Bahamas, also had a wonderful experience, no complaints there either.

Looking forward to my vacation at the end of the year to Coral Ridge in St George Utah. I'm only expecting the best as it is a brand new 3br resort.

                          We started 2009 with

2 weeks in March at the Mayan Palace in Puerto Vallarta, very nice, great location, nice resort, exceeded expectations.

Then I took the Son and family to Orlando for 2 weeks in May, we stayed in the East Village of Orange in a nice 3 bedroom. Met expectations

We went to Maui in late June and early July at stayed in a 2 bedroom at the Maui Schooner. Nice view suite, met expectations.

We are going to the Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Village for 2 weeks in November, this will be our 3rd trip to this resort, can't wait..

We spent 2 weeks at the Grand Mayan - Riviera Maya in April. This was our 5th annual 2 week visit to the Grand Mayans. We are not owners and exchanged through SFX. The resort met expectations on all fronts as usual. In fact some things about the resort were better than the previous year. However, the trip itself was somewhat of a downer because of the swine flu boondoggle that prevented us from doing some of our usual tours.

Our 2 week non-timeshare trip to Utah in May/June far exceeded expectations.
