  • Please recommend great family resort

    Hi there,

As a new member I would really love some advice on which RCI properties are great for families and include kiddie pools or waterslides... stayed at the Grand Mayan before and loved it but wanted to try something different this time?

    Any ideas?

I'm not a member of RCI, so I can't really recommend a particular resort, but these locations come to mind.

So California, Florida, Bahamas, Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach.

            Bahamas

What are the good family resorts in the Bahamas? And which exchange companies do you use?

Atlantis in II is one of them.....Expensive, but it's a great place for kids, and has great pools/slides.

As I stated, I don't use RCI, so I'm not really sure what resorts are offered in various areas in RCI.

Carib is mostly beach, La Cabana in Aruba might work for you but I think it might only trade with II.

Atlantis looks great but nervous about the temperature in late January only 65-75 degrees?

Any other reccomendations similar to Atlantis?

Do any of these trade through RCI? I noticed that some offer 1 & 2 bdrms.

None of these resorts are timeshare.

I didn't think so, but wasn't sure. There's mention of an "owner's" penthouse in one of the room descriptions. Anyway, with RCI renting out everything in sight, I wasn't sure if they had access to any of them, and/or any good deals.

any other comparable to Atlantis but not in Mexico? am taking a 10 month old with us and am nervous with all of the "swine" flu scares they are calling for this fall/winter.

Anyone been to the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta? Great kid friendly facility, lazy river, water sldies, kiddie pool, they even have a mini train that you ride all around the resort... 5 stars!

If your not looking for beach and want kid friendly go to PA, both Shawnee and Splitrock will work.
